Task
A mobile App by a Stealth Start-Up, that sources deals through crowd-sourcing. My task was to create first iteration of the iOS App, as well as a create presentation design for VC meetings.
Solution
As the app was designed for shopping the Visual design and the interaction was created to make it more fun. The list of categories was big and needed some organisation to make it simple & quicker to browse the deals through, so the metaphor of a color coded organizer/diary was used to solve this problem. It added color and was appreciated by the users too.

Design Process
Brainstorming
To be added current site was assessed by conducting Usability Testing with a focus group of new/first time users, on the current site 'www.yoshis.com'. The following questions were documented:
- What works
- What does not

Low Fidelity Prototype
Several pencil explorations were created to experiment different possible interactions. Some of them are documented here.
'Pop App' was used to create quick click-through prototypes with these rough sketches. Which were then user tested with 5-6 users.
Positive aspects of various pencil sketches and some feedbacks and iterations were combined to create a click through prototype in Balsamiq.

High Fidelity Prototype
With user feedback, the iterative process boiled down to a concrete set of requirement, categories, features which were relevant to the end user.
A high fidelity prototype was generated in the Web App Fluid UI.

User Interface Desing
User Interface design was purely dependent on target users feedback gathering during the prototyping stage.
